College admissions advising
For high-school students applying to undergraduate programs.
Why work with me
I'm an active Harvard College alumni interviewer (2021–present), conducting interviews for applicants from South Texas every cycle. I've also walked the path I help students prepare for — Harvard PhD, MD program at UT Southwestern (Presidential Scholar), and a research career at top diabetes centers.
Equally relevant: I came up through that path myself. I'm a first-generation college graduate from Brownsville, Texas — Lopez High School Alumnus of the Year and a Brownsville ISD Hall of Fame inductee (2016). I know what selective admissions committees look for, and what it's like to apply without an established pipeline. Bilingual English / Spanish.
Who this is for
Juniors and seniors targeting selective undergraduate programs — UCs, Ivies, top privates, and programs with strong science offerings. Especially useful for a science, pre-health, or research-track pathway.
Format
Sessions are 60–90 minutes, in person in San Diego/Coronado or remote. Most students engage me across an application season; shorter engagements for essay review or one-off consultations are also available.
